Ethnicity is insusceptible to change - I am Chinese and always will be, even though I am an eighth generation Taiwanese and a first generation American. Culture is something someone grew up in which can affect one's view of the world as well as their morals and values. Culturally, I am definitely very American; and sometimes that goes along with nationality - but nationality can ultimately be chosen, and I wouldn't say I'm proud to be an American citizen.
