San Jose Rose Garden

Today I had to take my sister to some high school in San Jose, so I thought it would be in a sketchy sort of area.  Turns out, the houses around that school had absolutely beautiful architecture and such pretty landscaping.  Also, there was a really nice rose garden in the area.  So I went there and took some shots.  I went and took two Brenizer shots (I'm just going to call it that from now), and they turned out pretty well, except the first one seems kind of cluttered (I just realized it kind of sounds like I'm drinking, haha).  I hate noon lighting but that was just something I had to deal with (unless I knew earlier in the morning when I dropped my sister off that there was a gorgeous rose garden nearby, because morning and dawn lighting is really pretty).

I finally learned from today that to get a working Brenizer shot, it's best to essentially make sure you get each large component of the view you're saying.  I try to take at least six to nine shots.  For example, get the subject first, make sure it's in focus, and it doesn't matter if it's in the center or following the rule of thirds.  Then go top left to top right to bottom right to bottom left and back to top left.  It's kind of like a circle.  I don't really know how to explain it in words I really have to display if visually for it to make sense.  Anyways, Photoshop left some flaws, but for the most part they're okay.  I most likely won't upload these on flickr:

Not Brenizer shots:

Out of one entire side of the garden, I thought this particular flower smelled the best (it just looked like a rose, don't need a picture of that):
