The more I learn about the world and about people, the more intimidating eyes seem to be - which is why I believe in that corny statement of "you can tell a lot about a person by their eyes". Eyes are literally the mirror of a person's soul. And in the current generation of technological expansion, it makes it all the more easier to read a person by their eyes since they're usually so distracted and not even noticing how much their eyes give them away. Which I think sometimes gives something for me to take advantage of - because as much as I think eyes may be intimidating at times, I'm just used to staring straight into the eyes of people I talk to and can (obviously) see if they're comfortable enough to stare back into my eyes, if they're actually engaged in the conversation, or if they're uncomfortable.

Especially for lying - it's so utterly simple to tell when people are lying nowadays because so many people just give away the hint in their eyes. Or when they're hiding something.

This only works when in person - but it's also easy to tell if someone is genuinely singing or just basically singing for the hell of it. I think quite a handful of people who joined this "elite choir" in my high school took singing just for a joke. Sure, I don't mind people joking around with music. But specifically for this group, people think that they are THE best at music - yet that side of them never seems to show up. Their voices are all so hollow-sounding. And then, you go to some other high school totally opposite from the high school I went to, and you have people who sing their hearts and souls out on stage - THAT'S music. That's the music I live, love, and breathe - not the cheesy and shallow comments people make about music (I also really like instrumental music, though too - and dynamics ultimately give away if the person really cares about what they're playing or not). I honestly adore music so much that I have to constantly remind myself not to worship the creation of music more than the Creator of music.

And so these two things kind of just jumble together into my love for music and photography. Which one do I love more? Definitely music. I would go insane if I were deaf, but not so much if I were blind. Photography is something that literally anyone can pick up and improve on - but music is a gift or a hard-earned talent.
