So basically

another reason I cut off my hair was because I know that for a lot of people, the first thing they notice about another person is their hair.

Inevitably, I knew I would surprise people at first - since it's a "drastic" change. I don't know if people are "complimenting" me because of my change of hairstyle or the actual hairstyle itself. Not that I was fishing for compliments, though. I mean people do have to be polite I guess.

I just hope that this new hairstyle will somewhat tell people about me - about how I do care about looks but only to a simple extent, since looks really aren't that important. Granted, I have two opinions about looks - one from a photographer's point of view and one from a regular human being's point of view. But in the end, a person is a person - and it completely pisses me off how people will only talk to people or not talk to people because of the outward appearance of that person. Presentation is important, but looks really aren't.
