A few days ago, I decided to watch Becoming Jane, based on the life story of the legendary English author Jane Austen. It's such a beautiful movie! Even though it is not a happy ending because it's basically reality, it's still a very nice story. And I don't care what the extreme Janeites (fans of Jane Austen) or those literary scholars think, Mr. Thomas Lefroy named eldest daughter after Jane Austen! And the soundtrack is lovely as well.
Yesterday I finally went to church after two weeks of not attending. The sermon was about pride, and there's this kind of pride that I don't really understand - a "humble" kind of pride that kind of puts oneself down. I guess I'll ask around.
Yahni also invited me to a sort of mini church event at her house yesterday. The "speaker" also talked about these two kinds of pride coincidentally. However, he was mostly talking about his journeys somewhere in Asia (Middle East-ish Asia) and his efforts to help spread the gospel with a group of people. While he was talking, I just thought to myself-sometimes helping to spread God's word would mean traveling! Not only do these sort of "missionaries" get to roam the Earth, but they get to meet all kinds of people in hopes of expanding God's kingdom! What a splendid occupation that would be. Maybe this is why people like me are wanderlust.
The speaker's two younger brothers and 8-year old sister were there as well. They just seemed like this big, happy, loving family, which I thought was nice to see.
