Sooo

Sarah and I were walking on our usual go-home route, and we noticed these firetrucks coming out from this street. So we decided to go take a look. We saw a few PG&E trucks and people trying to fix the electric wires or something. So we thought oh okay maybe the electricity line broke or whatever. But as we got closer to these trucks, we noticed that one house next to it looked like the garage door had been slightly burnt, and parts of the rooftop were falling off (these were minor damages). And we noticed it smelled kind of weird.

THEN, as we looked ahead, we saw that the house NEXT to it was completely burnt down. I’m not good with adjectives, but it was almost heartbreaking just seeing the remains of this house! You could see that NOTHING was left in the house, all you saw was the black marks from the ashes from the fire, and some possibly wood framing here and there. You could see right through it to their backyard, and there was only one wall on the side of the house still standing, and even that had a hole badly burnt through it. Nothing was left of the cars of the residence either - it was just the shells of the cars that still remained. The vegetation along the sidewalk of the house were all dead - and half of this giant tree that resided over the house was burnt up as well. Even the street signs next to the house were almost melting! We had the chance to talk to the sister of the owner of the house, and were informed that at the time the house went up in flames, no one was home - so thank God. People were also able to get the dogs out of the house in time as well.

But it’s all just so shocking because we don’t usually see these kinds of things happen around our neighborhood.
