...before I go to sleep or else I will be fidgety.
1. Pat Robertson and CBN's explanation of the earthquake in Haiti. I know ... that if you have anything to do with the devil there will be consequences. However, I find this all 有點囉唆... isn't the 'ancient practice' that of the past? Shouldn't God have done something? But then I remember what I just read today, that "[God] will never leave you nor forsake you". God must know what He's doing. But it frightens me of people doing such strange things.. but I should not feel frightened as long as I know God will protect me as long as I long for His protection.
2. Culture. Today's sermon was the second time I've heard about culture - and the pressures of this world. Being Chinese/Taiwanese, we have the pressures of excelling academically, sometimes even musically and athletically (is that even a word? - -). Many also have the pressures of having to give birth to males. Society is pressing limitations and social rules on us. To the clueless people, it's something they must live up to or their life is pointless and that they are worthless. Little do they know, these are obviously untrue and that that deep down these cultural things can hinder our relationship with Christ. Sometimes we become way too conservative to share the gospel with of Christ, or even way too liberal! Some aspects of culture may be truly wonderful, while some of it can be way too worldy - we need to know how to distinguish between them. I just pray that no one I know will let the limitations of culture hinder them from a wonderful relationship with Christ.
3. People have always said dreams come from God (if God is not in them). Then, people begin to interpret them as signs. But then again, it is wrong to ask from signs from God, or to interpret anything as signs from God. D: Hopefully I can find something about dreams from the Bible one day. But then last night.. I had my first dream with something regarding God - the reading of Bibles.. associated with three other people o___o. What if dreams have something Heaven-related in them? I remember my sister had a dream with Jesus Christ in it - and that mainly she didn't obey His orders. But am I allowed to say antying about that?
4. I think it's stupid - those theories of how Jesus' body was gone from the tomb. One which particularily annoys me because I know is wrong, is that one day soldiers stole the body of Jesus. That's really dumb - because either way His body disappeared from the tomb, His body was gone and he went back to his disciples and Mary, and people even saw Him rise up to the sky!! Stupid stupid theories. Just like how those strange people thought everyone in Ponyo was dead. Then why would Ponyo's mother want her to go back up out of the surface of the ocean?
Okay it's kind of late.. and I have an APUSH test tomorrow haha D:
