Day 15: Formed for God's Family

God is never lonely.
In fact, He doesn't even need us.
But He wanted a family to love and live with, thus, we were created.

He is descibred as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Trinity). I understand why He would be the Father and the Son - what I don't understand is the Holy Spirit - or sometives even called the Holy Ghost. Is it just the main Spirit of the Trinity? I know for people to be born, they need to be born through people. For my spirit to be sort of reborn, I had to be born thru this Holy Spirit. Is it the Spirit in all of us that ties us to Lord?

Our family on earth is temporary, just like anything else on this earth. They are gifts from God that we have a right to cherish, but anything given to us on earth will never last forever. The true family that will last forever will be with Him as the head, along with with our brothers and sisters in Christ. I agree that this kind of family bonding is stronger than blood. Blood alone does not determine one's family, and it never will.

I realize the abundant inheritance God has given down to us as members of His family - there is His grace, kindness, patience, glory, wisdom, power, and mercy. Come to think about it, this is all anyone could really want. The thing is if they are willing to accept it. Even if you recieve a gift, you may not accept it, you know?

Yesterday I was thinking about the wonders of Heaven - but still, I can only imagine. No more sorrow, no more pain, no more fear, the most true-est kind of love as the atmosphere of Heaven. Now I won't say I can't wait to go Home, cause in same ways I can and some ways I can't, but I guess I can't wait to spend eternity right alongside Jesus.

Warren also discusses about baptism - something that I can strongly relate to since I've only done it recently. It's showing that I am proud to be a part of God's family - and I wish I could brag about it but I don't know if that's right haha D: Though baptism itself will not ensure salvation, it is an act of obedience, and if one is to have the pride of being in God's family, they will obey.
