"Formosa Betrayed"?

As patriotic as I am to Taiwan... I don't think this movie should be played in American theatres... to those who can't control some anger, patience, and self-pride - which, in fact, is probably most American citizens.

Which is why sometimes, politics is a dangerous topic to talk about. Because people are so caught up in their own race, their own people, their own country. So many nationalist parties all over the world which are really just skin-based parties, and so many nationalist kind of people who begin to have prejudices towards those not of their kind. Minor jokes may be okay... depending the relationship between the people giving the jokes, like talking about Asian eyelids or funny-sounding Indian accents or whatever. But you know? These jokes can actually hurt after a while when they go too far. Hurt can lead to bitter feelings - bitter feelings to hate.. and hate to...

Like many have said before, our culture and ethnicity are never everlasting to each individual person. Life on earth can only last so long. Certain rules and taboos of each culture can be very unique - but the thing people might mistaken as something of their culture is extreme chauvinism - which is kind of worse than nationalist but most people are too stupid to remember the definition of a nationalist nowadays anyway. There is a difference between being nationalist and being patriotic - a big difference.

I'm not that surprised, though. People are imperfect, compromises are difficult to be made, and every single person has different views - we can't have six trillion different countries of our own with our own ideas on politics, economics, and whatever.

Gosh you know
I wish people would stop being so racist. Skin color, after all, is just a different expression of genes! And all of us are 99.9% genetically identical anyway, so what's the use of trying to find differences?
