So there's this typhoon catastrophe in Taiwan. Probably about a hundred people died, I guess. I blame the residents AND President Ma Ying Jiou. Why?The residents, because they were constantly and continuously warned not to live in the area they've lived in, because it is a very dangerous place to live. They didn't want to listen, thus they recieved their consequences. I think it's kind of stupid how they're treating this like the Si Chuan earthquake. It's NOTHING compared to the earthquake. It's possible that people could survive under all this muck and mud and slime after a few days, but think about the possibilities of actually finding a live person under all that. And then they're all blaming Ma Ying Jiou for not personally going to save those victims. Well, he did visit the survivors, but what could he do about that little boy who lost his father who rescued others? That father risked his life to save more, but his father didn't want a hero, he wanted a father. What would YOU say as the president?
Ma Ying Jiou should have made a national warning to all cities before hand, in case anything happened. But I agree with the rest of Taiwan, he IS a bit slow. However, he has his plausible reasons.
DontPanic hasn't had any recent updates yet :[

SO. I have just been informed by my Taiwanese politics complain-to Alice of something that further proves that Ma Ying Jiou is not of fault. Apparently, the Chinese government sent a certain village who were victims of the typhoon a bunch of wood. Of course, they needed the village head's consent before they could being reconstructing residential structures and such. Thus, after trying to reach a consent, the village head ended up refusing this wonderful offer. Why, though, one might ask?
"Because the wood they're providing has poison."
Wow. Seriously? The Taiwanese still have a prejudice against China? Actually to be more specific, it's actually the Native Taiwanese, not the actual residents from Fu Jian in the early 1900's. Not that I have anything against Native Taiwanese, but they're not being mistreated or anything. They don't want find a better life, they don't want to accept help, it's their fault and they're still suffering.
And why the hell would China want to make the typhoon victims more miserable? They know what if feels like to lose (like, you lost a belonging kind of 'lose') because of their own catastrophes. They just want to help! And just like Alice said, because of the head of this village, he's making the rest of his village even more miserable with no sanitary, safe shelters to reside in. Some of these victims are also basically blaming Ma Ying Jiou for Mother Nature's on mishappenings. They're digging in 16 feet deep of muck and mire to find people. A bit psychopathic, perhaps?
I also found out that the clothing tax in New York is only 4%. This lunatic Calfornia government, raising the taxes to a whole nother % from 8.25 to 9.25. Maybe that's why they're so "rich". Freakin Wall Street and all those screwed up economists. Add Arnold to that list, too.
