If you continue to let the world harden your heart, you have lost
to those who have wronged you, those who have intentionally tried to hurt you, to those who have done atrocities before your eyes.
If you continue to allow your heart to be numbed, you have not become strong - you are going down the destructive path of becoming unfeeling and soulless, and the paths of those who have become like so is definitely a life I know you are trying to steer away from.
If you continue to allow peers and society dictate how you want to feel - you will never learn to love yourself and grow as a person
So please don't harden your heart,
simply coming from the words of a loving friend who once held you so dearly and cannot help but still be concerned about you - do not allow your past to have such a stronghold of you, or else all the trials you believed you have gone through will have, in actuality, been endured in vain.
