I can think of

at least two reasons why God has placed you into my life.  I don't know if dating you is one of those reasons, but if it was, I'd guess it'd be far from the top of His list.

1. To remind me that there are good people.  I've become so hateful and bitter towards the world, unknown from what reason, but being able to talk to you about certain things reminds me that there really are good people in the world.  As a Christian, to be honest, it's actually spiritually healthy to feel resentment towards the world, as the world is nothing close to Heaven.  Yet, that bitterness has gotten a bit too far, I'll admit.  Granted, I'll always be a lot more pessimistic than you are, but there really is a lot of truth to what you say sometimes.
2. Perhaps to rid of my resentment towards the white male population.  Honestly, though, since I have feelings for you, I don't even pay attention to your race most of the time.  And I guess you are the first white person in a long time whom when I'm around, I'm not constantly thinking "my goodness they're white'".  Granted, I'll still always have some kind of bitterness towards the white male population anyways because of history and my own experiences.
