I tried my best to summarize what other people have found/theorized/proven so here it is (copied & pasted from tumblr):
According to the theory of evolution, hundreds of thousands of years ago, a hominid group by the name of homo erectus first evolved somewhere around present-day Georgia (middleeast/westasia). Because of some weather difficulties or whatever, they left for Africa. Then a few more hundreds of thousands of years later, they went back up to the Eurasian continent, inhabiting mostly south and west Asia. The majority of this group of people eventually settled near the very southern tip of present-day Burma. Some also went more north up to present-day Yunnan or present-day Tibet. Based on supposed linguistic and other cultural analyses, a lot of historians/scholars/thosekindsofpeople have theorized that certain people living in Tibet and Burma eventually moved into present-day China. And taaadaaaaa.
Another evolutionary standpoint was that the Chinese people originated from a homind group called “Sinanthropus” - whose earliest remains have actually been found near Beijing(?) and people are starting to link it to Chinese ancestry. The problem is, historians/archaeologists/other scholars say that the structure more closely resembles Europeans than Asian people. So I don’t know why I brought this up.
According to the Bible, after the ginormous flood there were those three sons of Noah - Japheth, Shem, and Ham. The descendents of Shem are usually attributed to the peoples of the Middle East and Southern Asia. Shem had a child Arphaxad who had a child Shelah who had a son Eber who had two sons, Peleg and Joktan. These two sons eventually made two separate groups of Hebrews, Hebrews of the West Asia and Hebrews of the East Asia. Joktan was the ‘father’ of the Eastern Asian Hebrews. And Apparently, a lot of East Asian peoples have Hebrew ancestry. The ever-famous Silk road had its starting point somewhere in modern-day Iran, and some Joktanites eventually found their way from west/central Asia where the silk raod started and then into the areas of ‘China Asia’ and taaadaaaa
According to Shu Jing, the oldest documents in Chinese history, there was an emperor who dealt with great floods and eventually divided the lands of modern-day China into various provinces. The entire basis of Chinese history and its following dynasties have been based on the belief that that the emperor Yu ‘tamed the great waters’ so that the Chinese people could live in peace from such a natural disaster. According to legend, there was a mosnter and a goddess - Gonggong and Nukwa, that helped Yu and his brother(?) to rid of the waters. What this Nuwa specifically did was seal together these stones of various colours to help stop the waters.
It’s pretty dumb and amazing, though. Every peoples group has had history like this - whether thru evolution, the Bible, or through legends or myths. The bottom line is that people just turned into people that treated people like people and gave birth to people and lived life like people. Racism was actually invented and instilled into the ideas of the world when we all had to begin those global wars and colonialize other parts of the world and yeeeah.
One of my favourite parts of reading through various sites was that from a secular standpoint, oriental people are more evolutionary developed because we don’t have as much hair as everyone else in the world! Aaahahaha. But then again it’s secular so it doesn’t exactly matter.
