I don't think about race as much when I'm around pets/animals or when I'm thinking of religion. I don't quite understand the pets part - but religion was meant to transcend all worldly barriers in the first place. This week for worship practice, one of the other older Asian-American vocalists is going to give me a few books regarding identity in Christ. And like I said earlier, until I can figure out my Christian identity, I'll have trouble figuring out any other identities that I'm supposed to take on.
