I thought there would be a nice golden hour scene near Saratoga downtown, so I headed over and the street around 6:30, only to discover that most of the area was covered in shadows - so now I know to go earlier. A few trees had sunlight on them, and I also got to discover a rather nice, secluded park. The hills nearby had beautiful sunshine on them - there was this one house on the hill that had golden sunlight shining on it and the trees around it were a beautiful mix of green, orange, and gold - except too many trees were in the way of my view and I didn't have my zoom lens, so I couldn't get a picture of it. I stopped by the Big Basin Cafe and got a Caramel Balsamic gelato (which pretty much tasted like salted caramel) in order to get indirect permission to take pictures around the cafe. I actually didn't get much, though. But anyways, here are the Brenizer shots from today (my regular shots aren't that good):
Someone just give me an actual medium-format camera already. Please.
