Today I finally finished the classical gothic romance novel, Jane Eyre. And I would like to make some commentary on it.

I usually read books to pass time. Specifically saying, a last resort to past time - when I am extremely bored and reading is literally my only best form of entertainment, like graduation practice.

Jane Eyre has the strangest love story of all I've ever known/read. It lags a while about her younger years, but that is all, probably, to explain how she became the person she became. Charlotte Bronte goes on and on about seemingly pointless things. But I do have to admit, she is talented in being very descriptive - of what has happened in Jane's life for her to become this sort of heroine in the story, and why she attracts a man as mysterious as Edward Fairfax Rochester.

It was obvious there was going to be quite some conflict in the novel, since the climax was essentially in the exact middle of the book. Bronte lags on and and about stuff that I think readers could care less about. All I wanted to know was how Jane and Edward finally got their happy ending (which they did, nonetheless in a rather strange/heartbreaking way).

It was thrilling to read, there's lots of suspense and mystery, sadness("tragedy" would be too strong of a word choice), and of course, romance. I cried three times whil reading the book - the first proposal, the separation, and cried so much while reading the ending. The ending is heartbreaking, touching, and happy. I really like this book if anyone hasn't noticed already.
