So today I finished the last of those Chronicles of Narnia books! It's sort of a happy/sad ending. To give a kind of spoiler, I think CS Lewis is describing Heaven in the end, and before the end of Narnia, a false Aslan is rumored to be around, but not many know that it wasn't the real Aslan. And it's really sad how some of the dwarfs end up in the story - refusing light and taking thins from the light and taking those things for advantage in the dark, refusing to be cured by light. How stubborn could the mind of anyone be? Why on Earth woudl you choose to be suffering the dark? But I think CS Lewis is commenting on the common mindset of many humans in this world. And whoever said that CS Lewis did not base his story to the Bible was lying! There's countless allusions to the Bible! But yeah CS Lewis is amazing. Hopefully I can meet him in Heaven one day.
And my mom's stupid insurance company! The most important medical procedures come up and she ends up having to pay for all of it. Ugh... pisses me off. Everything about America just has to make me upset- even right down to their health care system!
Also, I lived through yet another historic moment for the world. A 9.0 earthquake has recently hit the north-eastern coast of Japan. Most of Honshuu felt the quake, but it was mostly the cities around Sendai that have been heavily impacted. I just hope all the survivals are doing well, and the families of anyone who have been affected by such a disaster are doing well also.
And British literature is officially done with Pride and Prejudice! :[ We finished the movie today in class and handed in our books to start another unit. It had better be just as good as Jane Austen's stories, even though it might be a bit gloomier.
okay bye for now.
I think I need a new pencil. This one is dying.
