Random comments on society

I notice that I act extremely different around elders. I guess it's my way of showing respect.

I notice that once around elders, I become extremely quiet - to show that I guess I don't have the right to talk first? =____=" I don't know, better to keep my mouth shut than say something that will upset them.

It's not that I'm shy, I mean if you were my age I'd totally attempt to start up a conversation, but being with elders I feel like this is the only way I can show my respect for some reason.


Aand last night I asked my mother if her mother (so, my grandma) pressured her four daughters in to marraige, and she did. Which, I kind of find strange because I didn't know people still thought that way, but I guess sometimes stuff like this is timeless - the reputation of yourself and your family name.

And last year, I noticed that socializing is basically asking and answering a bunch of questions. Which disappointed me for some reason. So I became extremely quiet for a while because I didn't like that concept. But it's the truth and I have to accept it so now I'm just like whatever.
