MY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY OF 2011

WAS VERY FULFILLING :]

oh geee how do I start @ @

WELL. Today was Jackie's birthday party! I walked to her house hehe it was like a 25 minute walk and I was still 5 minutes late T T... but the first person to arrive! hehe... and then 賀恬 came and then Christina came and then etcc... LOL We played Wii archery!! Which was kind of awkward haha cause the way we held the control and the nunchuck looked nothing like holding a real bow and arrow -____-"

Yeah we were gonna have a Iron Chef thing but none of us knew how to cook @ @... so we all just ended up cooking our own lunch lolol. Which is good! It tasted delicious I'm very proud of ourselves. But we all need to know how to cook or else we'll be dead for college. 賀恬's okay, though xp

And we played this really fun game it was like 'pictionary telephone'. I'm too lazy to explain how it works hehe but basically my 'Canterbury Cathedral' turned into a 'Castle with a Pool' and then like 賀恬's "Dumpster" turned into a "Tea Table" haha :]

The ice cream cake was good! And the POCHACCO GIFT WAS SO FREAKIN ADORABLE. And then I played the piano for a bit and then around 3:30 we went to Darren's house to worship which we didn't and then I tried teaching Jackie guitar but I don't know if she remembered the chords or not T T... but we didn't even worship - -"...

But yeah everyone else that went to Christian club today seemed like really experienced. And Jackie and I were like freaking out @ @... but I had to step out of my comfort zone like twice today and ahhh I feel so refreshed cause it's like I stepped out of my comfort zone just for Jesus! ^___^

And the ride there was very nauseating = ="

And so we got there... and we were supposed to pair off as guy-girl cause supposedly when you approach strangers, this is the most appropriate. Two guys approaching someone looks intimidating (kind of) and two girls approaching someone seems... awkward @@ so yeah.

So Jackie and I were paired with different people but then we all just ended up walking around the mall as a group of four lolol. We got rejected a lot... which was expected. BUT WE AT LEAST got to pray for two people! And and and and a few of us were praying to God that He would bring someone to us that we could show His love too and GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS.

So the first person we got to pray for was this lady just casually sitting down in this couch area. I just chose her cause she looked idle and then the person with me Ryan noticed she had a cane. And then we found out she had polio earlier in her life and it's affected her life now. So yeah Ryan prayed for her and it was really cool :D

And then the SECOND time we got to pray for someone I WAS ALSO THERE KEEKEE. I saw this guy with a family and I felt that God really wanted me to pray for like a family person. So we went up to him and sure enough, he opened up to us. His sister had a tumor and was recovering from it, and we prayed for his sister and prayed for his life in general. That part was kind of embarassing for me but hey I got through it :D

And there was this one girl who Alice who kind of started off strong LOL it was funny. She went up to someone and was like "How are you?" And then that person was like "Good." And then she was like "Are there any troubles in your life lately?" And then person was like "..... I.. don't have time for this I have to shop." LOLOL yeah. But then later someone went up to Alice cause she had thsi panda backpack, and that person was like hey where did you get that backpack from I want to get it for my daughter. And then Alice was like I don't know a friend gave it to me but then later Alice and her partner Darren got to pray for that father so I thought that was pretty cool :D Having God bring a person for them.

Overall, it was a very fulfilling experience. I feel like I could do this for the rest of my life haha. I'd definitely want to do it again!

It just shocked me that some people didn't know what prayer was! Or they seemed really confused... but then I didn't want to be like "Do you know what prayer is?" Cause then I'd feel like I'm offending them or something and they'll be like yeah do you think I'm stupid or something? And then some people didn't really seem like they knew English or anything. And I was scared that the reason we found people to pray for might be offending for them. Like if we went like hey it seems like you're limping and then they'll be like totally self concious or something. I don't know I usually don't have strange feelings like this x_______x...

And the mall is a very distracting place. I kept looking at the shoes and dresses and stuff and the guys kept looking at... shoes and electronics... and.... other... stuff ... that guys find pleasure in looking at >_______>.... but all of us controlled ourself so that was good :P

And I tried to avoid talking to store clerks who weren't doing antying because I didn't want to interrupt their business. But after it all, I realized if these store clerks are talking to people, it will SEEM like they have good business and more people will come hehe! ^____^...

And I really had to step out of my comfort zone today... praying with people I didn't know very well and praying FOR complete strangers. But now that I've stepped out of it I feel like doing more!! And hopefully outreaching to more people in the near future and showing them what God's love has done for me :]
