^Basically what my Japanese teacher told our class this morning, right after the moment of silence in memory of Mr. Freeman.
Of course, she doesn't mean that we should all slack off because our grades aren't that "important".
But she meant that later in life, no one's going to ask what grade you got in your language class senior year, no one's going to care about your GPA or your college. No one really gives about those things. What's left of you in this world isn't your grade, or your AP scores, or your GPA - but you've contributed to the people around you.
Death is unpredictable, and this has got me thinking that I need to take advantage of this time in my life and do the things I want to do and say the things I want to say to people.
