By the way our concert master is back from London! XD But yeah.
Okay soo today I had this... musical catharsis? It was just one of those days where I had those strong urges to play music, and so I did. Well I just practiced technique and stuff so I wouldn't 退步. Oh and apparently the English for that is 'regress' -___-... but saying that sounds weird. But yeah and then I remembered I was talking about playing music with a friend once. He said he was having trouble playing the keyboard or guitar or something. And then I told him 'haha when I play piano I don't even think', without putting much thought into what I just said. And then he kind of reminded me ... so when I play music, I don't think?
I remember my piano teacher telling me to clear my mind when playing. She was likeee when you play music, just let yourself and the piano 'become one'. It sounded really cheesy at the time. And it still kind of does, but it's true.. if you want the music to be filled with feeling, you just have to be absorbed by the music. And so today I guess I wasn't thinking while playing the piano.
And I guess that's a good thing since when this kind of thing happens, I don't have to think at all. Any kind of problems I have are gone temporarily, and I am thinking of absolutely nothing, yet I'm still concious.
It's literally like a drug.

Totally agree. While playing Jazz, I discovered that I became less anxious of what I play. After all, it's not about what I play, but the emotion conveyed by what I play. It feels so much more free and unrestricted :D
The title made me LOL. Seriously. HAHAHA. Anyways, TOTALLY 100% AGREE with this. Sometimes when I'm stressed out or just really sad, I'll go play piano. It never really made sense to me why it was a stress reliever, and then I realized it was because I didn't think. And I was allowed to show emotion through the music. Leeeeet's play music together someday. (: BREAK?
Teehee you guys are too cool 8D
