Somehow, and we're not sure how, we're seated in Heaven in Jesus. By knowing Him, He serves as a portal to show us things of Heaven. That means that as we walk with Jesus through the world, we'll experience little foretastes of what Heaven will be like.
Maybe that's why when we come to Him anxious, and we pour out our hearts to Him and ask Him to help, we leave more peaceful. Maybe that's why when we come to Him hurting, He pours out His love and He heals us. Maybe that's why when we come to Him believing lies, He helps us to untangle those lies and believe the truth. When we're with Him, He pours out the things of Heaven - things like peace, healing, and truth - while we're still on fallen earth....
... The Kingdom of Heaven isn't just our future home. It's actually in some way our home right now - it's just that it's around the next bend. We're citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven now. If we really wrap our minds and hearts around this truth, it'll profoundly impact the way we live....
... Live like the citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven that you are. Have evil; love good. Forgive. Spread justice, kindness, goodness, mercy, and love. When people need help, help them. You're a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven - where love, joy, peace, patience, kindess, goodness, and justice are the ways of the King. So spread Heaven wherever you go.
