MM so I know Thanksgiving was originally because the Puritans got help from the Native Americans for food, and so they use this holiday to celebrate that. But you know what? I wonder how the Native Americans feel about this...
Nevertheless, Thanksgiving has now become a day for everyone to be thankful of what they have ^^; and for Christians to espeically be thankful of their God KEKE and other stuff of coursee
Buuut here is what I'm always thankful for:
&. A loving, gracious Father watching me from Heaven yet always around me.
&. A family, though broken, but better than none at all.
- My mother ~ even though I don't show my appreciation to her much. Underneath it all I am
really thankful that she always thinks of my sister and I first.
- My sister ~ whoo has basically kept me up the social ladder LOL. Or I feel like if I didn't
have my sister, I would be a loooot less social than I am right now. And she's like always my
last resort for a lot of things LOL so yeah.
&. My frieeends ^___^ who I can rant to and talk about the randomest things with. I'm also especially thankful for my Christian friends so I have peers to talk to about our faith, our Father, and our home in Heaven :] And I'm also real thankful that all of us have the same music taste LOL that's really important to me x]
&. MUSIC. Haha. I guess this goes under having an awesome God. But yeah, I also thank God for creating music ^___^; Without it, I would have never gotten closer to Him and realized my greater purpose on this Earth. So once again, Thank You, God x]
&. Living in a free country (ish). Freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, freedom of religion - I'm so much more fortunate than a lot of people in this world, and sometimes I really need to stop complaining about my life when a lot of people are worse off. So yeah, I guess I'm pretty thankful that I live in America :]
&. Having some sort of shelter, having constant access to food and water and a heater/AC when I need any of iit. Having my own room, having a comfortable bed to sleep on, HAVING a laptop, having an iPod, having my very own piano/guitar/violin, having my own camera, being able to be frustrated about what I should wear for the day with a closet full of clothing, shoes to walk around in... other materialistic stuff XD
&. Thankful that I can hear, see, smell, touch, taste, that I don't have any serious physical problems.
&. I guess thankful that I can go to school x________x. Without school, I would not have met the amazing people that I have, and I would never have a chance to test my faith? @__@? I guess I'm thankful that I can earn an education when some people struggle a lot - education is somewhat fulfilling so yeah I guess I'm thankful for that.
&. Living in a very, very, very, extremely sheltered city LOL. I'll just stay here for the rest of my life -_____-"
