OKAY. So I have MUCH to talk about this haha it was pretty cool, but not as good as I expected - -"...
This year's theme was... uh "The Northern Lights" or something? Anyway, I would have never guessed the theme - -"... the little "appetizers" were really hard marshmellow things (there were a few actual marshmellows too) and there was just a bunch of ribbon flowing all over the place. Last year's was much more 'easier to guess if one were to guess it', because there was like sea coral and bubbles and goldfish for appetizers. But yea.
I went with Julia, Lydia, Wendy, and Grace. We sat wayyy closer than we did last year - -". The food wasn't enough to eat, I got something I didn't order, Lydia barely got any pasta, and when half of our table ordered cheesecakes, all of us got chocolate. I might spazz sooner or later but whatever that's my fault - -".
DARN. I forgot to bring the schedule home. Ugh - -".
Well, let's see if I can remember what went first... There was the ACTUAL winners of Battle of the Bands, and then a dancing group with individual/duet performances. And then there was the first intermission and a lot of the stuff on silent auction didn't really amuse me.
AND THEN THERE WAS MR. CHIN-CHIN MAGIC!
His acting and stuff was pretty cool, but his magic tricks weren't = ="... I could do like half of them, haha. But he was cool and I am super super super pissed that I didn't get his autograph because he left early ugh - -"...... At least I got neat pictures of him ;] His last trick, I remember him saying stuff about people reading the newspapers. All we read about is "hate, violence, and injustice". And it's really true. I kind of like how he applies philosophical stuff to his magic tricks - -" I wish he did more, though :[
And then a LOT of people started leaving when Miss Brushette (?) went up to speak. I feel really bad though, because before CCC started, I kept asking her about class incentives extra credit extra credit, and she seemed really unhappy. - -"... Well, just to tell the truth, a lot of people went only for the class incentives - -".... but still :[ Her FRIEND was supposed to be the speaker. I wonder what happened to him, though.
and yep then there was that beatboxer dude and the Brad Wolfe guy, haha. They did individual performances and then one together aaaand yea - -".
Ooh another quote I like from tonight was what DC Beatbox said: "Life is a lot like yin and yang." I actually don't quite know what yin and yang actually means - -" Just that everything is a mix of good and bad, and that nothing is perfect but you need both to complete a perfect shape.
OHYEA. And there was this REALLY COOL MUSIC ROOM that I spent like 1/3 of the time in there haha it was really cool, there were clouds and music notes on the wall. My future room is going to look like that.
But all in all, GOOD JOB, OCTAGON :D It took a lot of hard work to put it together, and you guys even had to clean up the kitchen and wash dishes and stuff. But just in case you guys don't feel appreciated, I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HARD WORK :D heh.. not that my appreciation matters, anyway - -"...
