Day 5 & 6

Sorry :[ Yesterday after watching two movies (one being kind of frightening), I was reeeeally tired So I didn't read for Day #5 but I read both of #5 and #6 so I'm just going to summarize the two :]

So the titles of these two days are "Seeing Life from God's View"(5) and "Life is a Temporary Assignment"(6). I actually think the readings between these two days are very related. Basically in Day Five, Warren says that life is a test - seeing that if we really want to stay with God forever or not. And in Day Six, it's saying that Earth - is not our home.

In Day 5, Warren asks his readers, "If I asked how you would picture life, what image would come to your mind?" The first thing that comes to my mind, is a lone tree - like that lone tree in the end of The Knowing and that lone tree that we see throughout The Lovely Bones (..and like the lone tree on the cover of this book haha). I'm actually surprised, that the first thing that may come to people's minds are money, party, cars, jewelry - just so downright dirty earthly stuff. Really? That's life? That's dead.

God tests us a lot. Even though we feel like He's trying to abandon us and make us go beyond our limits - He obviously isn't. He intentionally draws away to see how devoted we are to him, and when we think we're going beyond our limits, we're not - because he's making us discover a part of ourselves that we never knew we had.

I should have read Psalm earlier. Psalm 4:4 says
"In your anger do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.

Always calms me down ^^... like I should have done two days ago? I don't know :[ I was so infuriated with the fact that they actually think they're right. I still believe in myself, but I'm not mad anymore. If they think the world was not so graciously given for us to see, then hey, what do they think of God anymore?

Okay I'm
going off topic - -"

:[ Basically
the World was given to us to look over, it's not ours. It's God's. We are His servants. And as loyal servants, we have to remain faithful and keep watch over it. He will be back one day, and only the faithful servants will return with Him back to Heaven.

Anyway Day 6. I liked Day 6 better than Day 5 haha. I like how Warren explains that "In order to keep us from becoming too attached to earth, God allows us to feel a significant amount of discontent and dissatisfaction in life - longings that will never be fulfilled on this side of eternity. We're not completely happy here because we're not supposed to be! Earth is not our final home; we were created for something much better. A fish would never be happy living on land, because it was made for water. An eagle could never feel satisfied if it wasn't allowed to fly. You will never feel completely satisfied on earth, because you were made for more. You will have happy moments here, but nothing compared with that God has planned for you."

Er.. that was long but read it please :[

100 years on Earth is NOTHING COMPARED TO 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999............ YEARS OF ETERNITY IN HEAVEN

Oh yea and I want to clarify something that I saw in The Lovely Bones - -"
Not everyone goes to Heaven : The reasons I don't like that movie is because 1. it's freaky 2. they give people the wrong conception of entrance to Heaven. JESUS is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except thru Him.
( I wish I still understood this whole Trinity thing, though - -")

"But my child, you aren't home yet."
