"Photo Final"

I didn't really remember everything, haha :[

After the end of finals last year in December of 2008, my friend Alice and I were finally able to start our long-planned trip to San Francisco. It was exciting as we were able to go on a train together for the first time and walk around a much bigger city than the one we live in (with some supervision, of course). The school schedule for that day was sixth period, then first, and we didn’t have a first period so we were able to leave early in the morning to San Francisco. It took almost an hour to reach San Francisco, and we were amazed at the passing scenery while on the train. When we reached San Francisco, it was freezing, there were lots of people on the streets, and buses, and there was some high level of traffic. Our plan was to have eight hours to visit Japantown, go see the ocean, and then go to the Westfield in San Francisco, unfortunately, we only had enough time to go to two of the places. We first went to Japantown – stayed about an hour in this convenience store looking at their products, ate a very Japanese meal for lunch, took pictures in a photo booth, and then shopped around for a long time. By that time, the sun was almost setting, and to get from Japantown to Westfield was going to take a while, so we just decided to go directly to Westfield and skip the beach. It was VERY crowded when we arrived at Westfield, but a good kind of Christmas atmosphere was in the air. There were countless sales, and we wanted to stop and look at every single store but obviously, we would not have time. Seeing that the food court there did not have very delectable eatings, we just went to buy food from a usual place – Starbucks. We also saw many other stores like those in Cupertino, but they were designed and sold their products differently. As the late night was coming to a close, we decided to walk around the giant mall once, and that is where I got the chance to take the picture above; the Westfield in San Francisco has spectacular Christmas decorations. Around 8:30, we had to head back to the train station to come back to Cupertino. This year, we are planning to get a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge at night, along with the nighttime skyline, more pictures of the night atmosphere of San Francisco, and hopefully we might have time to stop by the beach.
