Presidents and whatnot

So recently, there's been this measure in my town about whether or not to let dogs loose in parks and such. For long in this town, and in many other places, dogs were to be kept on leashes, in order to protect other people, dogs, and the enviroment. We've all seen what happens when two dogs pass each other on the sidewalk; it's not a pretty sight. However, these dogs are controlled by their masters who keep them from causing harm. If dogs are let loose in our parks, there could be much more violence. It's not that we don't want to give the dogs freedom and the rights of any other animal, in fact we DO if you fools haven't noticed, it's that this tiny "sacrifice" benefits the society as a whole. Naturally, you must do what's best for the majority. If you don't want your dog to feel imprisoned and such, then just dont take them to the park anymore, big deal. If this dog were kept on a leash when I was in elementary school, I wouldn't have got bitten by it and the scar (it's gone now, though) would have never been there. Who the hell came up with this kind of measure, anyway? My city is perfectly fine the way it is, that's why we're so civilized and advanced, other than any other city in this state.

In third period today, we were let into the library to hear Barack Obama's speech on education and back to school stuff. What I get from his message is basically that people shouldn't complain about not having enough money to go to college or it's because of state funding that people are dumb and that they won't have any oppurtunities. People have to have the self-motivation and the self-discipline to continually work hard in school, and then they could have all the opportunities and the world of no limits. It's good someone with great authority has finally said this, or else most people would continue to think that the government is stupid and that they are the smarter ones. Governor Arnold's educational plan is a different story which I do not wish to talk about at the moment.

This is random...
Maybe I'm just dumb, but I don't get why even though Bush has gone and "change has come to America", people are still saying "the Bush administration". I thought his team was cleared off the executive branch or whatnot.
